Gail Wood, MSW, RCSWI, (ISW21022)

Gail Wood is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) having graduated with her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  Before that, she earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.  Gail was born and raised in Wisconsin and has lived in Utah, Ohio, and now Florida.

Gail has experience and enjoys working with infants, toddlers, adolescents, teens, young adults, adult women, and the older adult population.  Gail has experience with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and Hospice patients and caregivers, providing grief and bereavement support. She also has an interest in working with adults who experience anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and offering Christian counseling.

Gail strengths are in incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Therapy (PTSD).  Gail provides support and utilizes therapy to assist clients in exploring and changing their thoughts while walking through depression, anxiety, and stress.  Gail also helps clients manage grief and loss and encourages self-care to avoid burnout.
