Hilka Rivera-Cruz graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She has a focus in the aging population and working in hospice/palliative care. Hilka is pursuing licensure in the State of Florida under the supervision of an LCSW. She is starting at Counseling Resource Services with an eagerness to help individuals strengthen their sense of purpose and fulfillment in life. Hilka strives to improve her client’s quality of life regardless of barriers and obstacles that her client’s may face. Working with vulnerable adult populations has delivered a profound desire to empower her clients through interventions from evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. Hilka looks forward to helping individuals facing substance use, anxiety/depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges find solutions to promote long-term change and improve their quality of life.
