Tonya is a licensed clinical social worker with Counseling Resource Services. She received her Master’s Degree from the University of Central Florida. During her ten years of experience in the social work field, she has worked extensively with individuals of all ages. She specializes in working with those struggling with addiction, eating disorders, domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief/loss. Tonya has worked in several settings including both inpatient and outpatient. Her approach is very direct, person-centered, and strengths based. She is knowledgeable, skilled, and trained in many different models and interventions including dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and post traumatic growth approach. Tonya’s goal in working with her clients is to offer a safe and comfortable space to gain insight into the source of their problems, allowing them to process and recover from them. Her hope is to help others find a happier and healthier path along their journey in life.
